This highly-charged political drama is about two mighty royals – Mary Stuart and Queen Elizabeth I – and the power play between two of history’s greatest monarchs. These include musical theatre Day Camps and Performing Arts Classes for local children, a summer residency Performing Arts Camp for students from around the world and MCT Community Theatre which creates an arena for local talent of all ages to participate in large-scale productions and attracts audiences from throughout western Montana.Produced by Hilary Adams and Margaret Chapman Missoula Children's Theatre is based in Missoula, Montana, and also runs many local programs. MCT's mission is the development of life skills in children through participation in the performing arts. Creativity, social skills, goal achievement, communication skills and self-esteem are all characteristics that are attained through the participation in this unique, educational project. All MCT shows are original adaptations of classic children’s stories and fairy tales. The show is rehearsed throughout the week and public performances are presented at the end of the week. The team holds an open audition and casts approximately 60 local students to perform in the production. The Missoula Children's Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. Some of the cast members will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition. Most students rehearse approximately 2 hours per day, with some rehearsing up to 4 hours per day. Rehearsals are Tuesday through Friday, June 28-July 1, from 10 am to 2:15 pm (additional Friday and Saturday rehearsal times to be announced). Those auditioning should arrive at 9:45am, June 28th and plan to stay for the full two hours. Their discoveries included ferocious dragons, advancing armies and, of course, a handsome and resourceful Prince Charming.
